I graduated with distinction from Pratt Institute’s Creative Arts Therapy MPS program. My thesis focused on attachment theory and the therapeutic use of textile arts. Pratt’s program offered training in not only art and dance therapies, but underpinned these trainings with Humanistic, Structural (family therapy), and psychodynamic approaches. This means that while I am trained in using art materials, art need not be a part of sessions. I have received additional training in EMDR resourcing, polyvagal theory, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Before pursuing art therapy, I graduated with departmental honors from Reed College with a degree in art history. I am now Brooklyn-based and licensed to practice therapy in both New York and Connecticut.
